Hello! My name is Kimberlynn but everyone calls me Kimmie. I am a cybersecurity student with a love for comic books, creating art, tinkering, and spending time outdoors. I've grown up in Michigan and from a young age technology has always been a big part of my life.
In 2023, I began volunteering with Black Girls Hack, a non-profit organization. As the Deputy CFO, I help manage the organization’s financial operations and contribute to our mission of increasing opportunity in the tech space via training and collaboration.
I also participate in their certification cohorts! I’m currently working toward the EJPT certification from INE alongside my cohort members. Our goal for this particular cohort is to obtain the OSCP certification from OffSec.
I earned an associate’s degree in cybersecurity from Henry Ford College (go Hawks!) in May of 2023. I was graciously accepted into the University of Detroit Mercy (go Titans!) as a Phi Theta Kappa/Jesuit Founders scholar.
From here, I will be graduating with my bachelors degree in cybersecurity in 2025. Both institutions are recognized by the National Security Agency as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (N.C.A.E.), which have provided me with a wonderful educational foundation and a sense of purpose in my field.
Innovation and progress drive me in my pursuit of knowledge. My ultimate goal is to become a leader in the cybersecurity industry and create pathways for others by providing education and opportunities to those who are just beginning their own journeys! I'd love to to apply my skills in a professional setting where I can contribute meaningfully!
